Tragic Magic R.I.P. 1990 - 1993 ?

An exploration of pain, both hallucinated and real.

Tragic Magic was an anthem rock jam band that swept S. Florida during the early 90's. Based out of Ft. Lauderdale, TM had rehearsal space in Davie, putting them in the company of such notable acts as Sister Venus and Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids.

After some notorious shows, TM members went their separate ways.

Recordings presented here are a mixed bag of tapings from live shows, rehearsals and studio recordings. Some of the tracks are early outtakes and will be replaced over time with studio recordings as they become available. The quality in general is pretty bad, reflecting upon how they were actually played.

This was a *good time* band with a bit of an evil streak. Shows tended to be very entertaining both for the audience and the band, as inevitably, someone in the audience *on something* that TM's visual presentation would disturb, created quite a ruckus. Most notably a show in West Palm Beach, Florida, where a female patron became convinced after a rather intense rendition of Welcome to My Haunted House, that someone on the stage was Satan, someone else was the incarnation of Death -- and had to be forcibly removed from the venue by EMTs.
