"The Main Event" was started by Daniel Blair (vocals) and Vincent Blair (guitars) in September of 2005. After meeting (drummer) Mike McKimmie on a myspace classified ad, and playing together for a total of three days, they entered the studio to record a four song demo consisting of songs Daniel and Vincent had previously written. After adding Alex Madison (bass) to the lineup, they hit the stage.

"The Main Event" played their first show October 31st, 2005 in their hometown of Modesto, Ca. They spent the next six months playing as many shows as they could, including four different stops at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood in front of sold out crowds. In April of 2006 they decided to re-enter the studio to work with producer Adam Ruppel (ex guitarist for Elektra artist "Systematic") and record a six song fully produced EP.

During the eight month period "The Main Event" has been together, their sound has changed and matured. The new EP, entitled "Built From Scratch", is a little "heavier" then the original music and is expected to be released in late July of 2006. The future is bright for "TME".
