* Asheville, North Carolina, band Deep River was founded by Sandy Howard and Sharon Lewis, who have released several albums, from Nashville and North Carolina.
* Bozeman, Montana, band Deep River was made up of bluegrass & folk musicians John Lowell, Nancy Padilla, Joe Rockafellow, and David Thompson. Lowell and Thompson later founded Kane's River.
* Power-folk trio Deep River, Rachel Beauregard, Bryan Dawley, and Luke Brindley, are a power-folk trio from Virginia who create their own brand of music they've termed "Front Porch Pop".
