The John Whites started in 2005 with the release of The Complete First Season. The album was recorded by John in his basement. Later that year Josh Brown, Jenny Guerra and Ben Alvarez joined The John Whites playing their first show in January 2006. The John Whites released Play Their Songs, their first album as a band, in November 2006. The following year, the band went into the studio to record A Sphere Needs A Square, it was finished and released in November 2009. During the making of that album Mean Old Mr. Moonlight and A Light Will be Thrown were recorded, in 2007 and 2008, with john producing and orchestrating both albums. In 2009 John moved to Reno, NV and started to record the The new album Monkey Man set for release for Fall 2010.
