Cam Groves is an audacious rapper from Maine commonly associated with fellow artist Spose. Although his work is generally classified as Hip-hop, his music has twists and turns, from rap to pop. He relates to the middle class of America more than anthing else, with real life scenarios embeded in his songs. When he began rapping in his teens, he faced controversy galore, but showed the people that he was exactly what he said he was, unlike many other emcees. His mixtape ("We Smoked it all") in collaboration with Spose in 2009 put his name forth into the world, and now he remains a pioneer in his field. Indeed, his music touches on the challenges everyday people could run into in life, making his music relatable and far more socially acceptable than it would be otherwise. His songs remain with elements of comedy and gutsy lines, distinguishing him from the competition. His current label is Preposterously Dank Entertainment, along with Spose. His first LP (Long Playing) album, "Hope Something Cool Happens" hit the number one spot for four weeks straight on the local charts in 2011, which was followed shortly after by "We Smoked it all Volume 2", in another fantastic collaboration with Spose.
