Cyrielle Formaz is a Swiss artist of Valaisan origin. She entered the Conservatoire at the age of 7 to learn classical guitar and musical language. As time went by, and after obtaining her certificate, she moved away from classical music and began to write, compose and sing in other registers.
In 2015, she took part in the Médaille d'Or course in the Jura (CH) with Jean Fauque (lyricist Alain Ba-shung, Johnny Hallyday, etc.) and Jean-François Delfour (MC Solaar). On her return from the course, she decided to leave the benches of the University of Lausanne, where she was studying the history of art and cinema. A few months later, she was selected to take part in the 42nd Rencontres d'Astaffort (FR) with Francis Cabrel, Marc Estève (lyricist Henri Salvadore, Bernard Lavillier, Enrico Macias, Maurane, etc.) and others. After this course, she decided to create her own project, Meimuna, and left her former groups.
In autumn 2017, after two years devoted solely to music, during which she gave several concerts, met a number of people, travelled, took sound and mixing courses, gave guitar lessons and led composition and self-production workshops, she decided to move to Brussels to study illustration at the Saint-Luc art college and take advantage of the opportunity to experience a different culture and society from Switzerland. After more than two years, during which Cyrielle continued to develop the Meimuna project and played several international concerts alongside Erik Bonerfält, she returned to Switzerland to devote herself entirely to music.
