Omnihell is the new solo project of musician Julian Sharwarko.

After the release of his first single, Leeches, he shared this important message:

“On Omnihell –
The rest of the album doesn’t sound much like this first single.

People are already rushing to call this project terms associated with certain genres or scenes and (naturally) comparing it to my last project. You can call it whatever you want, but realize that maybe doing that is selling yourself short as a listener. Maybe you’re overcomplicating something so cerebral as music.

But I’ll tell you with certainty that this project doesn’t belong to any scene or genre. I love all sorts of music, so it is now inevitable that my music will simply be whatever it ends up being, as is my full intention.

All this to say, (if I’m not out of line), it’s too early to label me. I can’t ask you not to label me of course, but I will ask that you avoid disappointment by just listening to the album I’m going to give you first, and then deciding if you enjoy it or not. Without needing a way to contend with me or my image etc.

This project is that album. It is what it is.

My interest as an artist is only fulfilling my own ideas, engaging with music as an art form, and connecting with people through it.

Maybe this will make more sense later.
