Damian & Brothers is a band started by Damian Draghici in 2001, with a strong gypsy background. Oficially, the band is named Filarmonika Rromanes.

Draghici is renowned for his pan flute playing, with a technique called triple-tongue staccato, gaining him the nickname of "Lightspeed". His discography includes seventeen albums, which won him a Grammy award. His style varies from electronic, jazz, rock, gypsy, hip-hop.

Damian & Brothers was founded together with a project named "The Roots Project", featuring strong gypsy music influences overlayed to strong and aggressive rhythms.

The name reportedly comes from Damian Draghici himself, when asked about his fresh started band: "they're all my brothers, therefore it should be named Damian & Brothers".
