The Collapsible Mammals was formed in 2006 by Chris Avitable in Los Angeles, CA. After years of collecting sounds and instruments, records throughout America, and traveling and eating interesting dishes in various international locales, Chris and friends decided to make a record. Things got interesting, and soon a collection of seemingly soundtrack like, instrumental(ish), get in the car and drive to an undisclosed location type creations started popping up.

This very collection of songs, loosely about a fictional land called New Zombia, was mixed by John Flores at his Snoppy Quop Studio and mastered by Mike Lazer, of Gnarls Barkley fame, and now is all finished and ready for public consumption.
