Meet Hexial, the electronic music project created by the Nottingham-based musician Alex Herington.
With a passion for electronic music that began at school, Alex started out writing breakbeat using a
tracker on the Amiga. Fast-forwarding to 2009, he co-founded the dark synth-pop band, Method Cell,
which had some success in the UK goth scene with their album "Curse Of A Modern Age”. He was also
writer and producer in the industrial band Bring The Ghosts, releasing the EP “Chemistry” in 2014.

Despite writing a large body of solo work over the years, Alex never released it until the lockdown when
he finally had the time and opportunity to create a solo project. Hexial was launched in July 2022 with
the self-released debut album "Preliminal Space". With influences like Autechre, Plaid and Orbital, the
album features a lush, melodic electronica/IDM sound with a glitchy edge, evoking mental images of
