Tyler Ramsey is an American singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist known for his introspective indie-folk and rock sound. He began his recording career with his self-titled debut in 2004 and released a series of solo albums that explored thoughtful, emotive songwriting. Ramsey gained wider recognition when he joined the indie rock band Band of Horses in 2007 as lead guitarist and co-writer, contributing to several of the band’s albums over a decade before departing in 2017 to focus on his solo work. His recent solo album New Lost Ages (2024) showcases his evolving sound, combining atmospheric textures with intimate lyrics.

Carl Broemel (born January 30, 1974) is an American multi-instrumentalist and songwriter best known as the guitarist, pedal steel player, saxophonist, and backing vocalist for the acclaimed rock band My Morning Jacket, which he joined in 2004. With Broemel in the lineup, the band continued expanding its blend of indie rock, psychedelic, and Americana influences across multiple albums. Beyond his work with My Morning Jacket, Broemel has a prolific solo career with several albums that blend folk, rock, and reflective songwriting, earning praise for his melodic sensibility and instrumental versatility.

Collaboration: Ramsey and Broemel first connected when Band of Horses toured with My Morning Jacket in 2012, where mutual respect for each other’s guitar work laid the groundwork for a creative partnership. Over the years they toured together and eventually began exchanging musical ideas remotely during the pandemic. This collaboration grew into Celestun, their full-length debut album as a duo, set for release January 15, 2026. The project highlights their complementary guitar styles across mostly acoustic and instrumental pieces, merging Ramsey’s fingerstyle approach with Broemel’s classically influenced virtuosity.
