Psychedelic Synesthesia, (Phil Swain), is a one man experimental producer from Kingston, Ontario. Phil was born in Sarnia, Ontario on September 17th, 1986. When I was about 10, his family moved to Kingston Ontario where we have been since now. He got into producing music when I was in grade 9 and inspired by his music teacher. As the years have past, Phil have improved his knowledge with music production and have started creating very experimental music. He don't like staying in one genre for long so he tend to make different albums have different genres. Phil also like merging genres together.

The name Psychedelic Synesthesia comes from the two words:

A psychedelic experience is characterized by the perception of aspects of one's mind previously unknown, or by the creative exuberance of the mind liberated from its ostensibly ordinary fetters. Psychedelic states are an array of experiences elicited by sensory deprivation as well as by psychedelic substances. Such experiences include hallucinations, changes of perception, synesthesia, altered states of awareness, mystical states, and occasionally states resembling psychosis.

"Synesthesia" is a neurologically-based phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. In other words, the merging of the 2 or more senses.

So Psychedelic Synesthesia means producing distorted sensory perceptions and feelings or altered states of awareness while merging the senses. That's his goal when people listening to his music.
