Born in La Baie in the Saguenay region, Clément Jacques recently gained public recognition throughout the province of Quebec (Canada) by performing as the opening act for Montréal singer-songwriter Ian Kelly, the young crooner from Toronto Matt Dusk and Canadian Idol Eva Avila.

Smile for a While, a CD featuring five songs, was released in order to attract the attention of record companies but soon wound up, by popular demand, on record store shelves thanks in great part to a widely acclaimed performance on Radio Énergie’s Les Grandes Gueules program. The station then asked Clément to compose the new signature tune for its morning show Le Buzz.

Following his solo tour, Clément Jacques will present his own folk-pop compositions in English for the very first time in the summer of 2007, performing as a trio with Guillaume Tondreau (double bass) and Maxime Bellavance (drums).
