Lost in Thought is a progressive metal quintet from South Wales. The band combines elements of power metal, progressive rock and metal, melodic metalcore and symphonic arrangements and the sound has been compared to the likes of Circus Maximus, Threshold and Pagan's Mind.

In March of 2011 Lost in Thought signed with Inner Wound Recordings and released the debut album Opus Arise. The band toured then embarked upon a European tour supporting Dutch symphonic metal band Delain and Austrian symphonic power metallers Serenity.
