On December 31, 2001, comes in Irapuato, Gto. a band originally called itself Merlina (the name would change to Trágico Ballet and a half later due to legal problems with copyright). With the voice of Saga, Dark Poet on keyboards and some guests gave birth to a musical project that initially showed a clear influence of El Clan (voice and musical structure) and London After Midnight (image and aesthetics), but with oriiginalidad and a touch of some magic that got the band to call too much attention to their live debut on May 4, 2002 in the first national festival dark, just bands like Valeria, Binaria, Sueño de Luna, Triste Makrina, etc.
A few months later comes the highly anticipated which resulted in recording a first EP of three songs: Merlina, Eterna Elevacíon and Diagnóstico, material that circulates and circulates in a surprise in Mexico and South American countries (Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia, etc.. )
Then came the first demo consisting of an introduction and six songs, demo that even today is still selling and still circulating on the Internet, piracy, "burning" personal, etc. and there is also a new CD which includes full demo songs and three live version "desenfuchada" ("y me fui," and two previously unreleased: "Trágico ballet" and "Caer").
At first no one would bet on a band like Trágico Ballet, and yet against: being of the province (city almost unknown), only a demo in tow, continuous changes of members among other things. Yet today it is one of the most representative bands in the national projection dark scene even in the other Spanish-speaking countries.
