Aasar came together in 2019 from the cold mountains of Trentino, Italy. We strived to create a new sound, which given the member’s various influences, was going to be both modern and violent. The name has its roots in the ancient Egyptian language, from Osiris, the goddess of the underworld and the unknown. Concepts are derived from Egyptian and Norse mythology, which are reinterpreted in modern sci-fi terms, to guide the listener through introspectiveness on a dystopian trip. The band’s debut came with the first single, “Fall Into Oblivion,” in 2021 and then signed with Seek & Strike. This partnership kicks off with the release of the new EP, From Nothing To Nowhere.

From Nothing To Nowhere gravitates around themes such as spirituality, symbolism, pagan mythology and nature hidden behind apocalyptic and sci-fi metaphors. The lyrics form a narrative cycle that, spacing on these themes, puts the human being as the main character. He has to go through the act of being before, during and after life; re-live his internal pain and personal mistakes, which will drag him into eternal damnation. Read more on Last.fm.
