His music can be described with one word, Classic! A true lyricist, a poet and his Hip-Hop, R&B flair represents the personification of good music, EMCEE N.I.C.E. arrives.

Emcee N.I.C.E. is a native Angelino of Puerto Rican descent raised in both El Paso, Texas and Topeka, Kansas, places he claims & collectively calls Gypsy City.. As a child, Emcee N.I.C.E. never really stayed in one location long enough to claim it due to his mother being married to a soldier, but he stayed long enough to establish & make friends.

What's in the name EMCEE N.I.C.E.? EMCEE represents who he is, a charismatic Storyteller that creatively paints an epic and vivid picture in a tone with words that your ears see and eyes listen. While N.I.C.E., Novelist Is Constantly Evolving, is more than just an acronym it's his nature and spirit as he continuously personifies his personality through his writing and music resulting in a byproduct which is often described as... NICE! Music is the evolution of life which is constantly changing! Emcee N.I.C.E. aka Novelist a member of one of L.A.'s most influential underground rap crews Mass Men later co-formed KansasCali, achieved success in a genre he co­ founded called Urban Rock which lead him to co-founding an Urban Rock band called, KansasCali.

KansasCali, first built a name for themselves by producing music for iconic artists and noteworthy motion picture soundtracks (2Pac, Nas, K-Ci, Aaron Hall, Crash, Mr. & Mrs. Smith (International Soundtrack), Orlando Blooms "Haven", Jamie Kennedy s "Kicking It Old School, ESPN s "Once In A Lifetime" and many more..) Their hit song "If I..." was featured on the soundtrack for the 2004 Oscar winning film Crash (Crash: Music From & Inspired by Crash) and was chosen as the featured single over the Oscar nominated song "In the Deep." The band was asked to create a music video for "If I..." exclusively for the special features section of the film's DVD that went on to sell over 10 million units.

EMCEE N.I.C.E. under the moniker Novelist has always been at the forefront of producing and writing relevant music. His music is influenced by and reflects the many places he calls home. His voice is aggressive and yet distinctively poetic as he manages to combine feel good music with catchy melodies that the information generation would like but Generation X would love. He calls Gypsy Music a constantly evolving style of old school traditional with new school relativity.

Music isn't his only forte, he is set to star in an animated music series Executive Produced by Ralph Farquhar of (Disneys Proud Family, Wendy Wu, Moesha & The Parkers) entitled Da Jammies as a lead character voice by the name of Novelist. The series also stars the likes of Alisa Reyes, Kel Mitchell, D.B.!, Kyla Pratt, James Avery, Kim Whitley, Tiny Lister, Rodney Perry and more ... EMCEE N.I.C.E. also serves as the projects Co-Executive Producer/Creator with partner D.B.I.

Emcee N.I.C.E. although not a house hold name yet; is no stranger to the rap game & promises to make his solo campaign "Way Back Now" memorable for years to come.
