The Revival Preachers is a country band formed by singer/songwriter Jay Berndt in Providence, RI in 2004. Berndt was originally the singer of 90's heavy metal band Kilgore before turning his hand at country. The original lineup consisted of Damian Puerini: Guitar, Shaun Chevalier: Drums and Zack Shedd: Upright Bass.

The Preachers released their debut album Breathin' Through A Bruise in 2005 shortly before Zack Shedd moved to Nashville. Shedd now plays with Hank III. The Preachers continued on with electric bassist Rob Gare: Electric Bass and recorded an unreleased album called "You're The Blessed... But We're The Revival Preachers" before breaking up in 2006. They reformed in 2009 for a few Providence shows before going back on hiatus.
