Claire Parsons, born in 1993, is a Luxembourgish/British singer-songwriter and composer whose deep passion for music emerged at a young age. She pursued an extensive musical education, studying classical and jazz piano, classical and electric guitar, as well as jazz and classical theory and vocals. In 2020, she earned a Master of Arts in Jazz Vocals from the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, under the guidance of acclaimed Belgian jazz singer David Linx and pianist Diederik Wissels.

Parsons' talent has been widely recognized, winning the title of 'Best Upcoming Musician' and receiving two nominations at the Luxembourg Music Awards in 2018. She further distinguished herself by winning the 'First Prize Albert Michiels' at the B-Jazz International Contest in 2019 and the first prize at the "Jazz Maastricht Professional Awards" in 2020 with the Brussels-based project Aishinka. Her involvement in numerous projects as a musician and composer has led her to perform on national and international stages, gaining the attention of professionals worldwide.

In 2019, she released her first EP «OnOff» with the Claire Parsons & Eran Har Even Duo. This was followed by her debut album “In Geometry” with her Quintet in May 2020, which was released by Double Moon Records (Challenge Records) and featured in the popular German jazz magazine “Jazz thing” as part of their 'Next Generation Vol. 83' series. The album received positive reviews from various magazines and radio stations, including Classic 21, RTBF, La Première, Citizen Jazz, Jazz Thing, Jazz Around Mag, Le Quotidien, Le Soir, SK Jazz, and ça C’est Culte.

Her second album, “The Aquatic Museum”, involved collaborations with Luxembourgish musician and app developer Laurent Peckels, American viola player Nicole Miller (head of the Brussels-based string trio ‘in praise of folly’), Belgian violinist Maia Frankowski (of ‘Opéra La Monnaie’), Luxembourgish cellist Annemie Osborne, French/Luxembourgish drummer and pianist Jérôme Klein, Israeli guitarist Eran Har Even, and the Belgian-based Q-Some Big Band.

She has been working on her first movie soundtrack for ‘Marianengraben’ in 2024, that is set to be screened in the cinemas in October 2024.

Currently, Claire Parsons is working on her third album, set to be released in 2025, in collaboration with Ziv Ravitz and Eran Har Even. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
