1. ‘anemoia’ began on a bedroom floor in 2018, started by a 15 year old Gerald Higgins in Co. Mayo. Taking early inspiration from artists like A.R Kane, Rosetta Stone & Current Joys, ‘anemoia’ released their debut album ‘driving songs’, a necessary Shoegaze portfolio of Roland TR-505 loops & ethereal looped guitar pieces; all created between 2019 -2021.

After a niche Soundcloud success, the soundscape developed as it turned into a 4-Piece band in October of 2022. Selling out their debut show in the Workman’s Cellar that very month, and scaled their sound by becoming a Noise Rock upstart whilst still containing the dreamy, nostalgic soundscape. Creating a loud and intimidating atmosphere in their performances, they notably played at 2024 & 2025 Whelan’s One to Watch and sold out their previous show at the same location.

With their latest single 'cowboy' released in April of 2025, it garnered playlisting and support from IMRO, Hot Press, and Genuine Irish. Alongside, it has been featured on Radio X, Radio Nova, RTÉ 2 FM, and more.

The sound continues to be restless and raw, building on this sense of nostalgia and the weight of things left unsaid.
