Christian Costa, professionally known as Grill Z (born June 26, 2010), is a American R&B/Hip-Hop rapper, singer and record producer. He chose his stage name in tribute to when he was 7 years old, when, he was in elementary school and doing a Seiza-like walk on the floor like a gorilla with his hands shoved into the carpet. He chose it also because of when BEST BRO SUPER MODE was being recorded, he was occasionally staying at his grandma's house which had a grill on the deck.

GZ lists his inspirations as The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, A$AP Rocky, PinkPantheress, and FKA twigs.

Releasing under his label "ArmorStudios", Grill Z collaborated with his cousin Leilan The Savage (Leilan Carter Hill) for 4 collaboration albums: BEST BRO SUPER MODE, TURBO POWER MODE, lavaland., and 7. Grill Z released multiple mixtapes, and then finally released his debut album WATERFALLS OF TEARS on February 23, 2024.
