Laura Allan was an American musician. She was based in Berkeley California and began singing and playing all kinds of instruments as a child. Her father was a jazz musician, her mother a professor at UC Berkeley. She sang and with the best of them: Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Paul Horne and Eric Carmen to name a few. Her name has a brief mention in the 2008 book "Girls Like Us" where the author mentions that Joni met Laura and copied her style of playing a certain instrument. Her CD Telegraph which came out around 2002 had an eclectic mix of music that showcased her lovely voice and musical expertise with guitars, keyboards and other instruments.
