Love Is More Than a Wedding Day Lyrics

It's more than a checkbook, yes
And it's more than the hottest look now
So much more than a bouquet
Like jubilee on a first day honey yea
And it's more than ego man
In the end love, love is more than a wedding day

It's more than a green light tag
So much more than a one night stand
So much more than the slithering
And the trick and trade that's fallen hard upon the man
And it's more than ego man
In the end love, love is more than a wedding day

You can't walk away when it gets a little heavy now
It's more than a honey moon
More than a good credit score and a summer cruise yea
So much more than the tambourine
That sprinkle melodies in love to hear the quiet sing
And it's more than you gon let in

Love is more than a wedding, more than a wedding
So much more love is
More than a wedding day

Love is more than a wedding day
You can't walk away when it gets a little heavy now
I pray, Lord knows I pray
You can't walk away when it gets a little heavy now

Said it's more than a green light tag
So much more than a one night stand
So much more than stammering
And the trick and trade, the stolen heart upon the line
And it's more than you gon let in
Love is more than a wedding, more than a wedding
So much more, more than a wedding, more than a wedding
So much more, more than a wedding
Baby I believe it's much more

(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
I believe, I believe
(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
Since we made it
(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
Yes love, we made it
(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
I still, I still love you, we made it
(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
Said we made it baby yea
Since we made it home through this land it's all done
(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
More than a wedding day
(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
I I con-confess it's more than all this world
More than all my selfishness
(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
More than all, more than the music I could imagine
(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
And you strip night on the floor
Love is (I believe, I believe)
Do you believe?
(I believe) that love it's more
(I believe) that it's so much more
(I believe, I believe)
(I believe, I believe) this is what I gotta say

This is for those who thought they couldn't make it through
(I believe, I believe)
That thought about giving up
(I believe, I believe)
That thought about throwing in the towel
(I believe, I believe)
This is for those who didn't know what to think, do when they found themselves in the most challenging hour
(I believe, I believe)
Yes baby
(I believe, I believe)
I see us trying to make it
(I believe, I believe)
Trying to hold on
Doing it, doing it, doing it, doing it
(I believe, I believe)
For the love
(I believe, I believe)
Cause we still got some memories
(I believe, I believe)
Confidential work is steady
(I believe, I believe)
Confidential love
(I believe, I believe)
Confidential love
(I believe, I believe)
Confidential love
(I believe, I believe)
In Confidential love
Confidential love
(I believe, I believe)
And it's so much more

(Love is more than a wedding day)
I believe, I believe, I believe
(Love is more, love is more than a wedding day)
Now hold on now
I'll be with you
(Love is...)

Cody ChesnuTT is an American musician from Atlanta, Georgia, whose music blends elements of rock, funk, soul, hip-hop, and blues. His music can arguably be classified as neo-soul. He released a double LP in 2002 entitled The Headphone Masterpiece, which was recorded in his bedroom recording studio, which he calls The Sonic Promiseland. He is notable for his audacity and ego in his music, as well as his insistence on capitalizing the last two letters of his last name. His closest brush with mainstream success came in 2002, when the hip-hop group The Roots remade a song from his album, "The Seed", for their album, Phrenology. The remade version was entitled "The Seed (2.0)" to distinguish it from ChesnuTT's original version. ChesnuTT plays guitar and sings vocals on the track, and appears in its music video, which received heavy airplay on MTV and BET. Cody also recieved some exposure from an "MTV YOU Hear It First" segment where it featured Cody.

He released a 6-track EP entitled Black Skin No Value on December 7, 2010. His long-awaited second full length album, Landing on a Hundred, arrived on October 30, 2012.
