Velvet Kiss is the sound of 5 girls who met in extraordinary circumstances. They all appeared on the latest series of T4 reality TV show Shipwrecked, in which they spent 3 months marooned on an island in the South Pacific.

After oozing charisma and sex appeal on the show, the girls now have their sights set on dominating the music charts this autumn. Although Diva Mauthoor, Sarah Sole, Anne Ord, Carly Stratton and Sarahmae Davison might have come to the end of their shipwrecked journey, their musical one is just beginning.

After months of PA’s up and down the country, a recent appearance onstage with producer extraordinaire Pharrell Williams, and a Radio 1 interview with Jo Wiley, the girls are now ready to unleash their blend of Pop and Dance with a soulful touch of R&B.

Very much Rhianna meets Girls Aloud, their first single ‘Turn The Speakers Up’ is a statement of intent. It pulses with energy and style, and it screams for its rightful place on dancefloors across the nation. With its thunderous bass line, the track also sits nicely alongside the likes of Timbaland and the Pussycat Dolls.

As well as being absolutely gorgeous, these girls are incredibly talented. Between them, they encompass 14 years of dancing (ballet, jazz, and street), classical training, modeling and acting. Band member Anna Ord also co-wrote top 10 hit “Sleep Walking” by Maria Lawson, of X Factor fame, in 2007.
