Lover Come Back Lyrics

And you said we were thru but I already knew
It was over

Now it's all I can do, just to keep my promise to you
So lover come back

Back to the arms of the one who let you down
needs to hold you

I know I'm not an easy man but I'll do anything I can
just to hold you

Lover Come Back
Lover Come Back
Come on home

First you say that we'll try
Then you say it's goodbye
If I thought that you might
I would wait here all night

I feel a shadow cross my heart
I hear an echo of your voice in my mind

Now it's tearing me apart
'cause I've loved you for such a long time

Lover Come Back
Come Back
Come on home

Lover Come Back
Lover Come Back
Come on home
Lover Come Back
Lover Come Back
Lover Come Back
Ohhh, Lover Come Back
Lover come home
Lover Come Back
Lover Come Back
Come on home
Lover Come Back
Come back
Come on home
Come on home
Come on home
Lover come home
Come on home
Come on home
Come on home
Come on home
Lover Come Back
Lover Come Back

Lou Gramm (born Lou Grammatico May 2, 1950 in Rochester, New York) is an American rock music vocalist and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist for the popular group Foreigner while also having a successful solo career. His personal hits include "Midnight Blue" and "Just Between You And Me". Gramm first appeared nationally on Capital Records with the band Black Sheep in 1975, and they also released a single on Chrysalis Records, the first American act signed to that English label, in 1974 before moving to Capital.

Gramm sang lead vocals on all of Foreigner's arena rock classics such as "Feels Like The First Time", "Cold As Ice", "Hot Blooded", "Urgent", "Double Vision", "Juke Box Hero", "Head Games", "Dirty White Boy" and "Say You Will", as well as the popular power ballad tunes "Waiting For A Girl Like You" and "I Want to Know What Love Is".

In 1987, during Foreigner's hiatus, Gramm released the album Ready Or Not which brought him positive critical reviews and a top five hit single with "Midnight Blue". This was followed by a second solo effort Long Hard Look, which brought a Top Ten hit "Just Between You and Me", and "True Blue Love", which reached the Top 40. Gramm also performed the title song from the 1987 movie The Lost Boys, titled "Lost in the Shadows".
He also appeared on the Don Mancuso solo cd "DDRIVE" doing lead vocals in 4 songs and co writing on 2 in 2004.
He has now released The Lou Gramm Band cd in 2009 with his brothers Ben & Richard. Also writing and appearing on the Christian Rock release are former Black Sheep guitarist Don Mancuso and Andy Knoll on keyboards. Read more on Last.fm.
