Pacino was a Czech guitar band from Orlová playing as a trio of Radomír Szajter (guitar and vocals), Jakub Lasota (bass guitar) and Tomáš Veliký (drums). The frantic music, but with clearly audible guitars, is complemented by Czech sung lyrics. Apart from foreign role models like Dinosaur Jr., they also approach older Czech noise rock bands like OTK, Děti deště, Gnu...
In 2014 they released their debut EP Ne tak daleko. Their debut album Půl litru země was a great success on the Czech alternative scene. In 2017, it won the Vinyl Award for Best Record. In 2022, they released their second album, Seven Worlds, which was again well received by music critics. The band was associated with the Futra club in Orlová. In addition to the two albums, they have released several EPs and each year their songs have appeared on the compilation Crooked to Death, which is released on cassette jointly by Crook magazine and the Stoned to Death label. They are also known for not making themselves known on social media.
The band quietly went out of business in 2023. Guitarist Radomír Szajter continues with his new band Ginger Wizard and the Peter Jacksons.
