1. Beauty School Dropout is an American pop punk band based in Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2020, the band consists of lead vocalist Cole "Colie" Hutzler, bassist Brent "Beepus" Burdett, and producer/guitarist Bardo Novotny.

Beauty School Dropout took root as the solo project of Colie Hutzler while he was still with alt-rock group Strangefaces. After that group dispersed, Hutzler expanded his project to include former bandmate Brent "Beepus" Burdett on bass. Final member Bardo (Bardo Novotny), a producer and guitarist, proved to be the missing piece, and the trio went to work on their debut EP with Jason Aalon Butler (FEVER 333) and Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance), who acted as executive producers, helping to streamline the project's diverse alt-rock, pop, punk, and hip-hop influences. Released through Version III, the BOYS DO CRY EP arrived in October 2021. It featured collaborations with and Butler and Royal & the Serpent. The band incorporated a live drummer for touring.

blink-182's Mark Hoppus also proved to be an early mentor for Beauty School Dropout, developing the trio as part of the then-emerging label Verswire, a partnership between Hoppus, music manager Nick Lippman, and streaming platform Veeps founder Sherry Saeedi. Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy was also on board with the label as an advisor. Heavier guitar tones and an angstier attitude marked the still highly melodic We Made Plans & God Laughed, which was issued by Verswire in association with Version III in August 2022. Hoppus was featured on the single "ALMOST FAMOUS." The band embarked on their first headlining tour later that year.

2. Beauty School Dropout was a pop punk band from Glasgow formed in 1995 and split in 2001. During their six years together, the band toured the United Kingdom several times, appeared on various compilations and released a full length album entitled "Teasing the Fat Kids" in 1999. Before they Split in 2001, five new songs were recorded which were to remain shelved for the next two years before being released as part of the Boss Tuneage Instant Singles vol 2 CD. Ex-Dropouts can still be found plying their respective trades in Barefoot and The Day I Snapped.

The band had a brief re-union in 2009, which resulted in three new songs being recorded. Together with the long out of print compilation tracks and the Instant Singles vol2 recordings, these new songs released as Palookaville (A Retrospective) through Boss Tuneage Records on Febuary 15th 2010.
