Unlike their moniker Dose Of Adolescence have delivered their most mature work ever in their new full-length, Memories Attack. Vocalist Jimmy Ray Brown relates “When people hear the name they think we’re some bratty punk or hardcore group but really what the name means to us is being honest. Kids are truthful because they haven’t learned to lie well yet and they aren’t jaded. That’s the emotion we aim for in our music.” Powerful melodic rock propelled by aggression learned from years of direct exposure to California punk, the band deliver hook after hook with innermost insecurities sung from the rooftops. Brown reveals “We’ve been a band for close to ten years my brother (guitarist Timmy Brown) still claims we’re a punk band because that’s what we were originally but I think we really expanded past that classification a while ago.”

Some of those in agreement with Brown include MTV2 and over 300,000 viewers who helped the band to win the MTV2 On The Rise contest including an appearance on national TV. Further national exposure included being featured on the Fuse TV Daily Download, and features in Spin, Outburn, Alternative Press and AMP magazines.
The band has completed two national tours and four west coast tours sharing stages with bands such as The Fray, Anberlin, Rufio, and many more. Of course not all of these accomplishments where without heartaches and headaches primarily of which is the car crash in 2006 that claimed the life of original guitarist Stephen Madigan. “I lost my mom when I was young so you think you would be prepared for something like that, but losing someone who was so close to you and so young and vital was devastating to us” Brown relates. Madigan’s loss features prominently in the songs especially the obviously titled one “85 to 06 (you’re so dearly missed).” The band hails from Rancho Cucamonga, CA which Brown proclaims as “the home of Rufio, the location of the movie Next Friday and not much else” and it too plays a role on song topics on the album. “I love the city but it’s just like any city when you are young at a point if you stay the city you grew up in drains you of who you are. It limits you and closes your eyes to what's out there.” After several years of recovering from the loss of Madigan and other issues which clouded their existence, the Brown brothers bounced back and recorded 2008’s positively titled EP Getting Back To The Future.
The group which now includes Roger Esparza on Bass and Tyler Armenta on drums decided to follow the entire Warped Tour in 2008. The group sold CD’s out of their car in the Warped Tour parking lot, letting their music speak for itself over the car’s speakers. The ploy culminated in over 7,000 albums being sold. In 2009 the band completed recording of the new full-length with Rich Zahniser (Hippos,Rufio,The Sound Of Animals Fighting) and soon would set sail on the entire Vans Warped Tour 2010 as well as Warped Tour 2013, playing in front of thousands everyday.
