Pure bad-ass rock, raw and unforgiving with a massive dose of energy, that’s what the two founding Dutch RED VULTURES respresent. These musicians have already logged in a ton of flight hours in previous bands and have, with this new project, a definite no-nonsense mission: ‘plug in and throttle up!’
Singer/guitarist Tony de Bruijn and bass player Patrick de Kok are the founders of the successful late ‘90s grunge trio Vals Licht. Mike Coolen, from Within Temptation, was the drummer during the Red Vultures’ recording process. As well as playing with Red Vultures, De Kok also currently writes, records and plays in the dark metal rock band, My Favorite Scar.
The paths of de Bruijn and de Kok inevitably crossed again when the bass player heard some of de Bruijn’s new songs and the two began to create plans for this new rock ’n roll adventure.
