Singer/ Songwriter/ Producer Raph Solo, knows a little something about life, love and the pursuit of happiness. Self-describing his sound as "song driven Pop with an Urban flavor " the artist's music is based on those both basic and complex human emotions and experiences. Most of Raph's songs, in fact which he's been writing since the age of 7 and recording since the age of 14, are steeped in similar soils.

As an independent artist, Solo financed the expensive studio time to record his earlier material with jobs as a bartender, security guard and a male model. He recalls working as a retail assistant at one of London's high fashion stores where, he says, shoppers, on a daily basis, thought that having money was a warranty to talk down to people. Rather than discourage him, this affluent attitude did just the opposite, it encouraged him to continue pursuing his passion while providing even more material to work with, the result of which is the grinding gem, Rich in My Heart and its defiant lyric "I may not have a lot of money but I'm rich in my heart".

Manimal, the follow up single to Rich In My Heart, sees the artist exploring the dynamics of sexual attraction and its animalistic qualities. The track cleverly interpolates Britney’s “Hit Me Baby One More Time” and employs the term “pheromone” as a metaphor to reiterate its message. On what inspired the track, Raph says “I’ve learnt from my personal experiences, that if we were investigate the psychological origins of our sexual impulses, we could discover that we do actually ‘still’ have a choice when it comes to our sexuality.”
