Elephant Pixel a.k.a. Dilo is a musician, producer and dj. He was born in La Plata, Argentina, in 1979. High up among Buenos Aires skyscrapers, he produces and creates music for his various projects from within his laptop home studio. His musical tastes and influences come from rock (indie, folk, post rock), downtempo electronica (IDM, brokenbeat, abstract hip hop) and dance music (minimal techno, clicks & cuts, electro); all of these styles are represented within his different musical facets. In 2002, incarnated as the duo Lapse, he produced the album Elephant Dreams. In 2003 he started, along with Bruno De Vicenti (a.k.a. Ivan Johnson and member of Miranda!), the label and project group Zensible Rec (www.zensible.com.ar). From 2003 to 2005 he produced and participated in the Zensible Rec compilations ZR01, ZR02 and Zensible Beats. In 2005 creates his own cd and net label Igloo. (www.igloo-rec.com.ar). After releasing 2 EP´s ("Treffen Sich" and "My baby is a robot"), during december his first Elephant Pixels full lenght album ("Folk, Lisergia, Computers") was released. In 2006 along with his folks imi and Zooey, created Monotax, a project to experiment with rock, hip hop & electronica. His live and dj sets have been heard in Argentina, Columbia, Switzlerland, USA, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Spain and Germany -- playing alongside people like Plaid, Machine Drum, Static, Person, Ladytron, LCD soundsystem, and others.
