"Music is my obsession. It is my mistress..." TERRY VERNIXX is based in New Mexico. He started out in the rock-n-roll world in the early 90's as the original drummer for the Dallas band, The Toadies. Soon after, he was seduced by House & Techno in the Portland Oregon rave scene. He Djed at hundreds of house parties, illegal gatherings, warehouse Raves, and club residencies in the Southwestern US from 1996-2001. Originally know as DJ STRETCHY, he changed his artist name to VERNIXX in 2001 when he moved to North Carolina. He began tailoring original electronic musical hybrids of House, Techno, and Progressive. He co-hosted the wildly popular Saturday night FM radio show RPM on WZMB in Greenville North Carolina from 2002-2003. He's been recognized internationally with headlining DJ playlistings as well as dance-radio airplay on BBC Radio One, Ministry of Sound, Frisky, voNYC, Sirius Area 33, and various XM Radio shows. He won WRVU FM's prestigious Remixer Of The Year Award in 2006. He moved from Carolina to Oklahoma in 2004. He founded the digital electronic music label MOVER MUSIC in January of 2007 with label partner Matthew Mocean. After several long term club residencies in Tulsa and Stillwater, he relocated to his permanent home base of Albuquerque in early 2008. His internet radio program, HIGH DESERT RHYTHMS, is broadcast every Saturday night on lowercasesounds.com (8pm to 11pm Central US Time). He represents exclusive promotional music by European techno artists under the EARRESISTABLE, JESUS LOVED YOU, LIMIKOLA, SIXTEENOFIVE, CIRCLE, M_NUS, COCOON, VEZOTONIK, ASTRODISCO, INTACTO, RENDER OBEDIENCE, and FLOW MANAGEMENT labels. He is currently spinning around the Southwestern and Midwestern United States, while crafting new original tunes & remixes for various labels. His musical collaborations with production partner ANGELA MARIA PLETHORA range from Deep House to Techno with an emphasis on genre fusions. His solo music is dancefloor techno.
