Jesus and the Gurus is one of the oldest active Gothic-Industrial-bands of Switzerland – the band exists since 1994. With the years Jesus and the Gurus have reached a cult status. Numerous concerts in whole Europe secured them fanatic followers.a

Jesus and the Gurus developed their own homogeneous musical style that could be named Military Rock, seasoned with a choice of cynical lyrics.

In the beginning Jesus and the Gurus torpedoed the human moral with their CD-production in self-management. In the year 2003 the signed a record-contract with the German label Fearsection of Chris Pohl, the head of Blutengel. There they published two albums: “Hammering on the gates of heaven” and “Satans little helpers” with remixes of notable bands like Feindflug, Das Ich, Blutengel and Cephalgy.

2006 Jesus and the Gurus changed to the renowned german label Black Rain and edited the provocative CD “King ov Salò”. In the beginning of 2009 this was followed by “Blood, Sweat and Tears” with the hammering “Panzerlied” which became a hit in clubs with the cover-version by the EBM-legend Tyske Ludder. With “Wut+Zorn=Revolution” Jesus and the Gurus present 2011 their new album following their marching directions with even more brute force and consequence.

In live concerts Jesus and the Gurus offer an impressive stage scene. The band plays customized instruments like guitars, drums, bodydrums and a specially modified Casio SK5. Jesus and the Gurus played throughout Europe on different festivals like Gothicfestival Waregem, NCN Festival or WGT (Wave Gothic Treffen Leipzig). On their 2009 tour they traveled 9290 km and conquered the whole of Europe from Spain to Poland.

Periodically the renowned Gothic- and Metal-magazines report about the albums, cult-concerts and impressive performances of the exceptional Swiss/Hungarian band Jesus and the Gurus. Through that the band also attracted the attention of the yellow press. The sarcastic lyrics were also overtaxing superficial TV-broadcasters.
