Scot Sier is a San Francisco-based alternative rock singer-songwriter originally from Gary, Indiana. Scot has a distinct voice and musical style that features unique alternative guitar tunings that are one of a kind, inspired by an epiphany on a secluded beach on the rugged Northern California coast. His core band consists of Scot Sier on guitars and vocals, Mark Abbott on drums and Mike Sugar on bass. His debut album, "Heads or Tales" features over thirty of the bay areas finest musicians making guest appearances.

His debut album ”Heads or Tales” (Tonedog Records 2011) to be released in the fall of 2011 was recorded and released before playing a single show. He cut the album with engineer Justin Phelps, (Dead Kennedy's, Joe Satriani, Amanda Palmer, Chuck Prophet) at John Vanderslice's analog indie studio, "Tiny Telephone" in San Francisco. The basic tracks were recorded live on to two inch tape, with overdubs performed at, "Hyde Street Studios", "Fantasy Studios", "Faultline Studio" and "Studio 101" over the course of two years.
