Aidan Cross (b. November 2nd, 1981 in Chester, UK) is a singer-songwriter and musician based in the UK. He is best known as frontman and lead songwriter with the Art Rock band Weimar, which he has fronted from 2016 to the present.

Cross's music career began in the late 00s with the formation of the band The Bacillus, who were active on the post-punk underground between 2008 and 2011, releasing the album "I Can't Adapt To This Prison You Call Society" before their dissolution. The album was reissued on German Shepherd Records in 2014, by which time Cross had formed a collaboration with fellow GSR artists Johann Kloos and Brian Benson - the improvisational Rock band The Bus Pass. Cross spent the mid-10s playing guitar with The Bus Pass as well as Black Light Mutants and sporadic solo gigs. As his jams with Johann Kloos took on the form of more concrete songs and he delved deeper into his experimentations with European cabaret and World music, The Bus Pass evolved into the Art Rock outfit Weimar, with John Armstrong on bass and Anthony 'Eddy' Edwards on drums. Weimar made its debut on the live circuit in late 2016 and quickly amassed a loyal following, resulting in them being named one of Louder Than War's 50 Acts to Watch for 2019 and a near sold-out launch gig for their debut single, "John Doe/Curse the Songs". After building their presence on the live circuit, including support slots for the Inspiral Carpet's Tom Hingley and Goth legends Skeletal Family, Weimar released its album "Dancing On A Volcano" in 2022 to widespread international critical acclaim.

Aside from his activities with Weimar and The Bacillus, Cross has also collaborated with various other artists, notably The Junta, Class Actions and Ian Moss. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
