The Gills are a soulful and energetic, indie rock band from Pensacola, Florida. After many changes in the line-up, there are currently four members of The Gills. The only original member of the Gills is lead-singer Jesse Wheeler, who is joined by his older brother Chris Wheeler and Matt & Andy Prince. The musical styles of the band fall into many genres, but the Gills are consistently described as "Contemporary indie rock with a heart deeply rooted in classic rock and blues". All who experience The Gills are unable to miss the dynamic playing styles of the two sets of brothers, their ability to feed off of each others' energy, and the perfect balance of talent. The Wheeler brothers have written over 200 original songs between them, and are currently working with the Prince brothers to record their first album together as a 4-piece in Nashville, TN. The mission of the band is to generate positive experiences and to create something meaningful that will leave a lasting impression.
