Katie Carpenter & Gary Burke are undoubtedly products of the live music scene and spend most of their time on the road between Ireland, UK, Italy, USA and Canada. In March 2012 they released 'Back to The Start' - the acoustic based EP which marks a return to a rawer, more honest sound that Jezzebelle music was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be! Recorded in Hollywood in August 2011 during a break from touring, it's produced, recorded & mixed by Irishwoman Sharon Kearney and mastered by Mark Chalecki (Little Red Book Mastering). You'll find hints of folk, roots, rock, pop & alt. country in these songs and that's some kind of amalgamation of the life-long influences of both Carpenter & Burke - monster musical standards like Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen. 'Back to The Start' is also the first time Jezzebelle let someone else produce their music, which was a major step for the band; "We had never met anyone we trusted enough to produce us, until Sharon (Kearney) that is - she knew exactly how to capture what we do live and translate that to the recordings, we're so pleased with the outcome". The EP has become their most popular release to-date among Jezzebelle fans, setting the stage for a follow up in 2013; "We like to do our writing in the winter time, maybe that comes from growing up in Ireland where weather is a huge inspiration on artists, for better or worse… either way we'll hold up in our studio for a few months and have something special to show for it".

Never afraid to branch out (though it might not seem so), Katie recently teamed up with Producer/Arranger John O'Kennedy and Dylanna Music in the USA to release a Celtic version of 'Unchained Melody' for inclusion on their current compilation: 'Variations: Dylanna Music Presents Unchained Melody'. The track has been a huge success and people had some nice things to say; "Haunting vocals that I haven't heard since Enya" (Music Arts Monthly Magazine).
