Die 3. Generation was a German music group from Berlin. The trio was formed through a casting organized by Arne Beyer and his label telemedia GmbH and consisted of Tolga Ölmez, Julian Strehle, and Darko Kordic. In 1998, the group appeared in the ZDF Christmas series "Zwei allein", and in 1999 it received the Echo Pop award for best newcomer band. The group achieved its greatest success in 2000 with the song "Leb!", the theme for the first season of "Big Brother", which topped the German singles chart for two weeks. That same year, the trio produced the song "Glaub an dich" for KiKA, which was used in programs including the live show "Kikania".

Die 3. Generation disbanded in July 2004. In 2009, RTL II used a remake of "Leb!" as the title music for the ninth season of "Big Brother", and in 2011 the song again served as the theme for the eleventh season. Darko Kordic later worked as a painter and varnisher and participated as a singer in the fourth season of the RTL show "Das Supertalent" in 2010, reaching the final. Julian Strehle operated a kiosk in Berlin-Schmargendorf in 2022. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
