Núria Feliu i Mestres (September 21, 1941 – July 22, 2022) was a Catalan singer and actress. Awarded with several awards, including the Creu de Sant Jordi, she stood out for her albums of Catalan folk songs, boleros and cuplets, with an extensive discography of 42 discs published. She was also a renowned activist and person committed to the Catalan Countries, and to the independence movement.
He was born on September 21, 1941 in the Sants neighborhood of Barcelona, ​​a fact that he carried as an honor. Her first steps in the artistic world were as an actress. He debuted as a singer in 1965 and stood out for his albums of Catalan popular songs, boleros and couplets.[3] Likewise, he popularized American, country and jazz standards, and his collaboration with the pianist Tete Montoliu was particularly noteworthy, bringing the Catalan language to some of these musical styles for the first time. He also sang film songs in Catalan. One of its lyricists was the poet Josep Maria Andreu i Forns. Lucky Guri often accompanied her on the piano.

In 1976 she was awarded the Popular Culture Award granted by the Ministry of Culture for her album Cançons d'Apel·les Mestres, in 1979 with the Medal of the Catalan Circle of Madrid, in 1985 with the Creu de Sant Jordi, in 1990 with the Sant Jordi Award for cinematography awarded by RNE and the SGAE Award for his career.

In 2015, the volume Dies i recordas d'infantesa(Ara Llibres) appeared, edited by Albert Torras, where the Sants singer reviewed her childhood in the Sants neighborhood.
