Formed in June 2007, in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, as an offshoot of Dusty Colours, The Punctuation are an acoustic duo experimenting with soundscapes of various folk-derived styles and sound collage ambience using electroacoustic techniques. The name is a response/more sonically creative counterpart to another Dusty Colours side project, the low fidelity musical comedy recordings under the banner ()()(@*:::!? (Not The Punctuation), who released four bootleg releases between 2007-2010.
