This is one of several pseudonyms used by music producers at Firefly Entertainment. Around 830 psuedonyms can be linked to the Swedish record label Firefly Entertainment. The tracks, mostly instrumental, have secured attractive positions on some of Spotify's most popular playlists, leading to a rapid tenfold increase in the record label's revenue.

By examining the copyright organization Stim's registry, Dagens Nyheter found that about 20 individuals are behind 500 of the psuedonyms. One man was noted as the creator of songs for at least 64 psuedonyms, accumulating a total of 7.7 million monthly listeners.

A spokesperson from the streaming service mentioned in an email to Kulturnyheterna that they have no opinion on whether artists release their songs under real names or pseudonyms.

"Our playlist editors make their programming decisions based on the music that their listeners enjoy, and they make constant updates based on listener feedback," the spokesperson wrote.

According to the investigation, Firefly Entertainment has had close contact with an individual who formerly held a high-ranking position at Spotify. As of now, Spotify has not responded to questions regarding their connection with the former executive.

Firefly Entertainment, the record label, refrains from answering questions from Dagens Nyheter about the psuedonyms, but they assert that they do not have a direct relationship with Spotify that could influence the playlists.
