Following a court case in 1981 initiated by the perfume company Chanel, the band Shit & Chanel was forced to change their name, which they mockingly did to Shit & Chalou (appr. "Shit & Jealous"). By that time, the group had already dissolved and were not active any longer. The name change is, other than having been forced upon the group, an anecdote in their biography. The fact that commercial entities and unknowing people keep reproducing the name change is thus unfortunate. Read more on Last.fm.
