Ben Harris has been entertaining audiences across the Middle East for the last six years, firstly as a member of international coverbands Shine and Jamm, with residencies at the Hard Rock Café, Dubai and the Safari Bar at the Grand Hyatt in Muscat. After Ramadan 2008 decided to start working freelance in Dubai as a performer and a session player, and consequently joined Salha & The Million Dollar Band. This saw Ben travelling to Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Kenya (Africa), and entertaining at major events such as the Dubai Rugby 7’s, Dubai World Cup, Fujairah Harley-Davidson Rally, the 2008 Dubai International Jazz Festival (with Canadian artist Lori Nuic), HopFest @Irish Village and shows for the USO, as well as a regular feature in the corporate entertainment market. He has also played and recorded with up and coming local artists, such as Abri, Jay Wud, Danny Shirran, Holly Major, Salha, Beat Antenna, Tim Hassall & The August Company, Wilma La and Absolace. In September 2010, Ben rejoined Shine and travelled to Lebanon, playing at Hard Rock Café Beirut, and most recently opened the new Hard Rock Café in Festival City, Dubai in December 2011.

In 2010, Ben officially joined Dubai-based prog rock/metal outfit Absolace, who’s debut album "Resolve[d]" (2010) gained critical acclaim both internationally and locally; playing shows with UK proggers Anathema in Beirut , US rock giants 30 Seconds To Mars at Byblos International Festival (Lebanon), and the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix. In 2011 Absolace started writing and pre production for their sophomore album, and subsequently released "Fractals" in March 2012.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Ben spent many years honing his skills on the thriving live music circuit there, playing at 5-star hotels, pubs, clubs, corporate functions and private parties. Gaining his formal music education as a singer, Ben made the switch to electric bass in his late teens and started working almost immediately – performing all across Melbourne and regional Victoria, before relocating to Dubai; where he has been working non-stop ever since.
