Jimmy Current is CRAZY!! Certifiably straight jacket insane. Comprised of two strong willed individuals, they have turned down high paying job offers, relocated across country and province, and shed blood sweat and tears in their quest to make their music a “movement”. Somehow they create a sound scape even crazier than they are.

With big lush compositions containing HEAVY bass, catchy hooks, aggressive and smooth rapping, synthesizers and live guitar, Jimmy Current combines Electro-Pop, Rock and Hip Hop into a melting pot of musical desires. Crafting their own instrumentals and writing their own lyrics their music is like a giant rabbit hole, once you come in you will never be able to leave. Their simple yet complex songs will leave you always finding something new and if you read between the lines you might be able to find a deeper meaning.

From uptempo dance music to smooth rolling pop songs to edgy outlaw rock Jimmy Current's catalogue is a screaming roller coaster ride to say the least. Always packed with emotion, their music is their therapy. Jimmy Current's Pop tunes can be compared to Timbaland & The Black Eyed Peas, on LSD. Their often aggressive deliveries and “socially aware” lyrics are reminiscent of Tupac and Linkin Park and their sometimes darker and disturbing lyrical content can poetically be linked to the brooding's of Jim Morrison and the Doors and Dallas Green.

After releasing their debut album “is...” in December of 2008, Jimmy Current had a rash of bad things happen to them, including a full on nervous breakdown, some “serious” health issues and a few nasty breakups with close friends, all of which forced them to reluctantly take some time away from it all. Even so they were able to do some shows, receive commercial radio play and were nominated for a BC Interior Music award.

Through all their problems and constant mental afflictions Jimmy Current remains in relentless pursuit of their goals, “stopping for nothing”, not even death, and are driven to make 2010 their year.
