1/ Tales are a Prog/Pop/Math/Rock inspired Drum ‘n’ Strum Duo from Birmingham, UK.
Luke MacGregor-Dignan and James Harrison (Guitar/Vocals and Drums respectively) have done away with traditional pop structures, focusing on compositions with a narrative theme, creating dynamic musical journeys that are defined by tensions and releases rather than verses and choruses.
Influenced by bands such as Meet Me In St. Louis, Foals and Tubelord; songs slip between tempos and time signatures and are peppered with pop-hooks. Although limited in members, there is no lack for ideas or energy here.

Their debut release; a ten minute long ideas-fest simply entitled “North” is available as a free Digital Download, and is also available as a hand-numbered limited-edition black cd.
