I was the lead singer for a band called Ebb Tide from 1998 to 2000. We recorded two full-length albums, played quite a few local venues as well as took a 2-week tour through California during our time together. In 2002, I recorded a full-length album of original worship songs (My King, I Bow Down) with the help of my brother-in-law, and many of my friends. In 2003, I recorded an EP (Coming Alive), which I think is the most true to the musical style and direction in which I always saw myself heading. I think that album may have come as a little bit of a downer to some of my friends who were expecting another worship album. I find that life is filled with joy and sorrow, pain and relief, struggle and victory, and most often, life (at least for me) throws all of these things at you at once. I want to be honest and authentic in the songs I write, so you may find a love song, a social commentary, and a call to worship the one true God all side-by-side.

In 2006, I ventured out with another band (Echelon) with a couple friends. In January 2007, I decided to go back to college and finish my undergrad degree, and it became too difficult to accomplish all the things demanding my time, so I took an undetermined hiatus from music. I occasionally led worship for my own church or other churches.

In February 2012, I joined the staff of Gresham Bible Church as the Worship Leader. I've continued to write songs over the past several years, and I hope to one day record them to share with others.

The truth about me is that, while I'm far from perfect and never will be this side of heaven, I'm a guy who is learning how to love and trust Jesus Christ – because He first loved me. I value living simply. I don't have a working television or an elaborate wardrobe. I don’t have a nice car. I don't eat out a lot. Not because I can't afford those things, but because I'd rather use my time, energy and resources for something other than gratifying my appetites. I'm very thankful for God's good grace and mercy. I'm thankful that God is also a righteous, just and sovereign God in Whom I can trust to take care of all the problems in my life and in the world. There's an "activist" part of me that I think can sometimes be a really good thing. But a lot of the time, I'm just selfish and I'd be a lot better off if I would just repent and trust Jesus.

I want everyone to experience new and abundant life in Jesus Christ. I want to share the love of God and the truth of the gospel with everyone I meet. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
