Born in China, raised in the US and now living in Beijing, Kelly Cha personifies the perfect harmony between east and west. Acclaimed host of 3 TV shows (CCTV-6, Hunan TV, Harpers Bazaar TV), a radio show (CRI and Sina), author of 3 books, an established singer/songwriter, and a Master’s Degree in International Business Studies, Kelly Cha is truly one of the hardest working personalities in all of China!

Kelly moved back to Beijing in September 2002 to focus on music and writing, and over the next two years wrote for several prestigious magazines and newspapers receiving praise of critics and readers. She founded her band Zha Zha Club in 2004, began working closely with global brands including Volkswagen, Apple, MySpace, and Kappa, and released her debut single “Spring Breeze” in 2005. She quickly followed up her first release with songs “Here Comes The Sun”, “And…Action”, and Time and Tide,” all of which have been featured on compilations, used as theme songs, and as book companions respectively. In 2007, Kelly wrote and performed the main theme to “Zhao Ya Zhao Ya Zhao Pengyou,” the Chinese version of “Friends” which airs internationally on Beijing TV.

In 2008, she was host to the official Chinese delegation at MIDEM, the world’s largest independent music trade conference, in Cannes, France. She officially joined the popular Hunan Satellite TV, hosting the new show “Midnight Mind Twister” and in the same month was invited as a guest host on the acclaimed Phoenix TV. Kelly also hosted the AST Dew Tour, the first ever action sports event in China, broadcast internationally on NBC, Fox Sports and China’s CCTV-5.

In mid-2008, Kelly signed on to host “Bazaar TV China” (Harper’s Bazaar), and was invited to attend and cover Copenhagen’s Fashion Week where she was interviewed by Fashion Television, W Magazine, and Good Morning Denmark. Throughout the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she hosted a daily TV show at the WOA’s official Olympic Gold Medalists’ Club, and in early October 2008, her new radio show will begin airing on China Radio International’s Easy FM and Sina.com.

Additionally, Kelly's long awaited Campus Tour kicks off in Fall 2008 in Beijing. In these multi-media campus events, she talked about her career choices and experiences, performed her music, and interacted with the students. The launch press conference will be held at the brand-new Apple store in September. Apple will provide specially engraved iPods for the event, and Podcast it worldwide. UNICEF has also signed on as a partner for the tour to gain awareness for orphans with AIDS.
