Ralph and the Hexagons were an experimental band who, in more ways than one, pushed the boundaries of what can be considered "music". The four-piece group - which was made up of old friends Ralph Hemsley, Megan Makridis, Marni Robertson, and Adam Sefcik - had its beginnings in the first wave of the pandemic, when boredom prompted its members to write and produce a single in just 48 hours. What they came up with was My Weekend Plans, a rough but charming ballad about grave robbing - and they didn't stop there. The band went on to release two singles and an EP (DENARIII), written and recorded almost entirely remotely due to both pandemic restrictions and general anti-social behaviour. In December of 2022, after a long period of silence, the band announced that they would no longer be making music together for the foreseeable future. Despite this, the Hexagons encourage their "hexafans" to keep listening, heckling, and poking fun to their hearts' content. Read more on Last.fm.
