Filalete is a Georgian artist named Irakli Bakuradze. He is highly influenced by the place where he was born, the mountain virgin reserts named Svaneti, this can be appreciated in the sensibility of his compositions. Irakli was graduated from Tbilisi State Conservatoire piano faculty, he also plays other instruments such as Guitar, Tamtam, Duduk and Balaban. In this album called NewBient (the first one that brings us in Seattle Dott Recs) Filalete shows us a very emotional work where the last moments of his father before dying are the protagonists from the first minute. Here the album begins with a harrowing recording in the hospital bed itself.
In NewBient, Filalete creates a sound world that reflects his feelings of loss during a difficult time. A thin dark layer covers the album completely but this one never totally takes over the role as the delicate composition of the album shows us flashes of hope that appear throughout the eight songs it contains.
