Defused was a progressive rock band from Southern Illinois. The band was founded in 2006 by Michael Hicks who, by himself, wrote and recorded the first three Defused albums until he was later joined by Brock Baltzell, Connor Burge and Derek Burwell for their fourth effort The Point of Beginning in 2009.
